Steve
Director
Steve Luff launched AQUADEMY in 2006 and brings his expertise as a Swim England Level 3 Swimming and Water Polo Coach to every aspect of the programme. He also leads the vibrant Parkside Aquatics Programme at Parkside School – the proud home of AQUADEMYsports.
Unlike many in the sport, Steve’s journey didn’t begin in early childhood. He learned to swim at the age of seven at Kingston Royals – the club that would become his lifelong aquatic home. As a very nervous learner himself, Steve understands just how important a supportive environment can be. That experience shaped his vision for AQUADEMY: to create a safe, nurturing space where children can grow in confidence and fall in love with the water.
It was in his late teens that he discovered his true passion: Water polo. From that point on, he threw himself into both swimming and water polo, competing at club, county, regional, and national levels.
In his late teens, Steve discovered a passion for water polo and threw himself into both swimming and water polo, competing at club, county, regional, and national levels.
His enthusiasm for the sport naturally evolved into a love for coaching. Starting out as a junior coach at Epsom District Swimming Club, Steve quickly worked his way up to Head Coach. Today, he pours that same passion and care into developing young athletes.
