What to expect

We continue to work hard to ensure your safety at Aquademy Sports. Some things are different but it’s important to recognise that if we all pull together and continue adhering to the rules, children can all enjoy the freedom water can bring.

The number of swimmers in a class may differ according to the number of classes running at that time. Non -Swimmer 1 classes will only accommodate a maximum of 4 swimmers whilst Non-Swimmer 2, Beginner and Improver classes will remain as a maximum of 6 swimmers per class and Advanced45 classes will have a maximum of 10 through 2 lanes. Advanced 60, Platinum 60 and Performance 60 classes will also have a reduced number, maximum 20 swimmers through 4 separate lanes.

We continue to work to specific guidelines and can ensure adequate distancing is available for our swimmers and teachers on poolside.

Until further notice, we have decided to close off the changing rooms on entry. Swimmers will be required to turn up ‘Swim ready’ and are encouraged to leave as soon as possible by means of the changing rooms after their lesson. The changing rooms are only available for swimmers to use after their lesson and not before.

Any equipment that swimmers use throughout their lesson must remain for their sole purpose only. No sharing of equipment is allowed. Equipment will be sanitised after each and every class.

Our swimming teachers, whilst teaching, will continue to encourage a healthy distance between themselves and all swimmers and will teach most classes from the poolside. However, in our Non swimmer classes our teacher (and helper) may enter the water to teach.

Unfortunately, we have decided to extend the period of suspended Adult & Toddler classes until further notice.

In the event of a further lockdown throughout this pandemic:

In the first instance, if the period of missed lesson is 1-2 weeks, we will attempt to replace missed lessons during half term or at the end of the term without charge.

In the second instance, if the period of time is greater than 2 weeks, then the remaining lesson(s) lessons will added on to the current term where possible or be rolled over to the following term without charge.

In the last instance, where the period of time is indefinite, credits will be offered running them over into the returning term.

Any equipment that swimmers use throughout their lesson must remain for their sole purpose only. No sharing of equipment is allowed. Equipment will be sanitised after each and every class.

Our swimming teachers whilst teaching will adhere to social distancing and will teach most classes from the poolside, however in our Non swimmer classes our teacher (and helper) may enter the water to teach which we feel is beneficial to the class and their safety.

Unfortunately, we have decided to suspend Adult & Toddler classes until further notice.
